Parents know better how children’s room should look like. It’s crazy to blindly trust your child’s taste. This is how it’s considered to be in Russia. And not only here.
To change that IKEA decided to trust kids with its outdoor campaign. We created an app on campaign site where children could give the reins to their imagination and do whatever they wanted with IKEA outdoor campaign. We collected lots of pictures of all kinds that no adult could have drawn. The drawings that got the most likes became outdoor campaign posters and were seen on the streets in many Russian cities.
IKEA showed by personal example how important it is to listen to children’s opinions and thoughts.
